Hi there to those of you still subscribing to my long-neglected blog. A couple of weeks ago I changed the name of my podcast from Political Dharma to The Spiritual & Political Podcast.
As I will explain in an upcoming video, I see our current chaotic political situation in the U.S. as the result of weaknesses in our political system, cracked by stresses in our economic system, both of which are upheld by our cultural inheritance. That cultural heritage has been shaped by differences over how to understand Christianity. This is why I’ve combined my two former YouTube video channels (the other was A Buddhist Christian?) and given the channel a new name.
As you might suspect, the direction of the content on my podcast has shifted somewhat. Even though I am adding new topics, let me assure you that I intend to continue to cover political developments much as I have in the past.
Hope you are well!
Alan
So, what are your thoughts on current mixed-race or multiracial discourse? Someone recently asked me if the new Pope’s background has opened American’s eyes to some new possibilities. It would be nice if the Pope Leo commented on his mixed background, but I think he wants little to do with American racial identity politics.
To date during Trump 2.0 there has been no discourse on racial hybridity at all, and that is no surprise. As I wrote in the book: “And as this manuscript heads toward final production and publication, Americans expect either Kamala Devi Harris or Donald John Trump will be sworn in as President come Inauguration Day on January 20th. That neither individual’s consciousness is sufficiently elevated to articulate and embrace the racially blended composition of our society, using that as a springboard to bringing the country together, is sad.”

I am not up on multi-racial discourse. Looks like your comment is less a question for me and more an ad for your book. That’s okay with me. 🙂
